I’ve been doing freshwater for as long as I can remember and I am SOO jealous of all the invertebrates yall get, like we barely have 3 different types shrimps and snails but ALL verity’s of crabs, snails, seastars and shrimp in saltwater is awesome!!! I wish there was a freshwater urchin 😢

I have both... why not??? Also, we need to increase freshwater fish breeding because the changing environment and weather is killing freshwater environments. Sure you could also argue about saltwater fish but the majority of the world's waters are saltwater.

I think that, given how some places have too much water stress .. We gotta think on how to improve our DOC levels without recurring to water changes For instance, where I live, every dry season there is water restrictions everywhere, thus a method or combination of methods that could remove DOCs without taking a lot of water would be more accesible than just doing water changes, sometimes one gotta decide between a water change or replacing evaporated water 😅

Great video - I'll chime in: when I water change my QT, I use waste water from my display tank water changes. This way I am not using any more salt mix than I would use without the QT. Just need to be extra careful with cross contamination.

I killed every fish I ever tried to QT... I gave up, just plop them in now, haven't had a problem since or before I tried QTing... I know I'm playing Russian roulette, but it's better than just systematically killing every fish I come across
